Azure Subscription for Enterprise via Azure Portal

Overview

When you want to create subscriptions in Azure Portal, if you click on + Add you will notice that it comes up with following screen.

It is not the subscriptions that will be associated with your billing account for Enterprise customers.

In this articule, I will go through how to create Azure Subscrptions for Enterpise customers via Azure Portal.

Azure Billing

Before going on details, how to build, let’s understand azure billing types. Basically there are two types of billing for business -

  1. Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA)
  2. Enterprise Agreement (EA)

In this article, I am going to use MCA type as below, but this will be appliable to EA as well.

To verify type of subscription that you have, Log into Azure, searching for Billing and under Cost Management + Billing -> Billing scope you will find the billing type.
